| It had been so many moons since Heatherberry had sparred with another cat. So long that she wasn't sure if she enjoyed it or not. In her warrior days, she never had much to boast about, or felt she was useful at all when it came to fighting or defending. With Ajex? Even though he shouldn't have been here to begin with, Ajex was making this enjoyable. "And you're not bad for someone who looks like a badger just dragged them in!" A playful growl was returned to his teasing, a flurry of jabs aimed at her in succussion. An opening! Close enough for her to sneak in on his last jab to her shoulder, she nabbed him by the scruff and gave a hearty shake.
Heatherberry used Scruff Shake, dealing 8 damage and using 20 SP.

Ajex widened his eyes when his scruff was suddenly grabbed and he was flung away. Woah, Heatherberry really was strong for a medicine cat! Had she trained as a warrior before becoming a medicine cat? He had heard stories of past medicine cats being like that; the medicine cat of WindClan when he was still a kit, Sparrowthorn, had also trained as a warrior before becoming a medicine cat. The ginger tabby huffed, choosing to lay on the ground to blink tauntingly at the black she-cat. What was she going to do now?

| It unnerved Heatherberry when her opponent didn't even try to fight back or to be released as she shook the daylights out of him. It felt as though she were being toyed with, but she would continue to give it her all regardless of his intent.

Ajex smiled up at Heatherberry once more, before suddenly surging forward to clamp his jaws around the molly's leg. He shook it playfully, as if to remind her that his teeth never broke her skin, as he promised.

Ajex winced as yet another blow landed on him-- and this time, it hurt. Not that he was complaining, but getting mud out of fur was hard enough, and now he'd have to clean a sore spot? Not fun. The tabby reared up and came crashing down the she-cat's head, though at the last moment he fell back on his hindlegs a little so as to dull the force. Wouldn't want hurting her, now would he?

| As Ajex reared up to drop his paws atop her head, Heatherberry zigged out of the way just in time to feel the blast wind blow past her ears. A heartbeat slower and she would have gotten a proper knock on the head.

Ajex winced as his blows met air instead and another paw slammed into his side. Heatherberry really was good at this... either all Clan cats were this strong, or he had a lot of catching up to do. Regardless, the medicine cat was giving her all, so he wouldn't hold back either. His claws lashed out, one after the other, until the she-cat seemed to falter in her stance.
