Tracking something weak enough to accommodate the... oddly old looking malnourished apprentice, while also being something the three of them could take on wasn't an easy task, but after a while Steadfast had settled for a fox. One well placed bite could probably snap that apprentice in two, but he had been assured by Shadowclan's deputy that the warrior accompanying them was more than capable enough to handle something like a fox. Steady lead their trot through the marshes, eventually coming upon a patch of grass that had been flattened due to moons of predator traffic. Ahead of them stood their quarry, unbothered by the band of cats that gathered behind it. Flicking his tail forward the rogue commanded one of the two cats to make a move. "Strike low and strike fast. Getting it in the leg will disorient it, makes fighting it easier."

Pineblossom was curious about these strangers that had taken up refuge in their camp for a few moons. She was never fond of rogues, although this group was not quite so violent as to earn the title. She could not argue that they knew some interesting things, however. The way they had attacked the dogs and caused them to stumble and stutter could prove useful in the future, and so she was determined to pick up this new move. It seemed Lilypaw was as well, as she accompanied her on her excursion.
She looked where Steadfast gestured. A fox would be no problem. Though it had dealt a good amount of pain to her, Pineblossom had taken down a fox on her own once. The three of them could handle it without issue.
“Understood,” Pineblossom murmured. She crouched and then darted forward. Using the surprise to her advantage, she lunged at the hind leg of the fox, biting down onto it and shaking a little much like she would against the scruff of a cat, to deal even more pain.
Pineblossom used Ankle Biter, dealing 8 damage and costing 30 SP. Fox deals half damage for 1 turn.

To say Lilypaw had been struggling since she joined ShadowClan would be an understatement. It had been so easy to fall back into old patterns, as if she had never left. And at the same time, she had never been more out of place.
And so much had happened since she had gone. Including some outsiders that had been staying with the Clan. She was the last cat to judge a cat for being from outside the Clan, considering where she had been living for countless moons. But part of her was still nervous around the cats. Especially when she had heard of the moves they were teaching the Clan to ward off predators. Why would they be so willing to share this knowledge with her Clan?
Lilypaw herself was going to be learning one of these moves, and she was definitely grateful for the familiar form of Pineblossom at her side. The cat had been a warrior of ShadowClan before Lilypaw had even been born, so having the molly there now gave Lilypaw a sense of security. She knew that whatever happened, she would be safe with the senior warrior.
Strike low and fast. That was what the outsider had told her. Lilypaw gave a nod of confirmation as Pineblossom went for the legs. With the fox off balance, Lilypaw also darted forward, striking out with her claws. She couldn't hide the fear at fighting a predator that by far outmatched her, and she could only hope things wouldn't go awry, but at least she had backup. That was something.
Lilypaw used Front Paw Strike, dealing 6 damage and costing 7 stamina.

Steadfast was quick to follow after the two she-cats, inserting himself into the fight to face the fox head-on. Gaining wounds in a fight was a given, but the tom knew that if anything serious were to happen to either of these two shadows the blame would be pinned on him. He was no stranger to taking scratches or nasty bites. He'd rather take a few of those today than be kicked out of their shelter over something as stupid as the twisted one taking a fatal blow. As the fox whipped around to take a snap out of the mud-colored molly, Steadfast planted his teeth along the back of the beast's neck and roughly tugged it away. The taste of blood spread across the tom's tongue. Just as disgusting as ever. How in the world did prey animals like mice and birds have such a tantalizing taste but things like foxes and badgers didn't?
Steadfast used Snap, Dealing 10 HP and Costing 7 SP __
High-pitched yips filled the air as sharp teeth bit down on the fox's hind leg. Its first instinct was to jerk away from the pain, which took a few agonizing tries to succeed in dislodging its attacker. More claws found their way along the fox's flank, but as it started to snap towards its attackers another one came from the shadows. This one tried to hold it in his jaws, but its grip wasn't nearly strong enough to hold the fox for long. Shaking free, the red beast latched onto the newest of the assailants.
Fox used Iron Bite, Dealing 9 HP and costing 30 SP Fox no longer deals half damage

Pineblossom easily drew her own claws against the fox, tearing against its pelt and drawing blood as red as the fur that lined its body. She winced upon seeing the fox bite at Steadfast, but she could not help but be grateful it was not her or Lilypaw receiving its ire. She moved back from the fox’s rear, joining at the front with Lilypaw. She met her companion’s eyes briefly, signaling for her to try the same move that Pineblossom did.
Pineblossom used Front Paw Strike, dealing 10 damage and costing 7 SP.
