Good morning sunshine~ [Kitty/open]

It was a beautiful morning. The sun had just begun to rise. Colors, bright and warm, stained the brightening sky and chased away the smattering of stars that still desperately clung to the night. The wind brought to him the taste of rain, but he knew it was simply a remnant from the night before. Or so he hoped. They couldn't handle too much rain; it turned the territory dangerous, prone to rockslides and flooding. the deputy chose not to focus there, knowing that such problems were quite a bit of rain away. Instead, he focused on how good of a scent it left in the air. The smell of new leaf was one of life and rebirth and it stirred a part of him deep inside, drawing up feelings of contentment and warming his heart. It was one of his few great loves in this life. One of them. Today was also the perfect day to take his daughter out on patrol, though he wasn't her mentor he felt as if he didn't spend enough time with Stormpaw, so a few days ago he promised his beautiful daughter that he'd take her out on patrol.

Approaching Stormpaw, an easy smile found its way onto his features. "Good morning sunshine." The grey deputy spoke his handsome amber eyes glowing. "I hope you didn't forget our plans for today?" Rockfall mewed slightly tilting his head.

The newleaf air was one that Stormpaw would be sure to treasure. The way the air was so crisp and pristine, it was so kind to breathe in. The chill, too. Because the air was so cold in the mornings, it was strangely refreshing. For the moment though, the apprentice was just waking up. The rainfall from the night before brought morning dew, but even so it only made the air more delightful. A bit of spring was in her for having just risen though, and that was because she was going to have some time with the deputy. Why, though? Well, the deputy just so happened to be her father. Which also meant she had some high standards to live up to... Not that she had any struggle with attempting, though. She did her best, and she made sure of that.

Having walked outside of the apprentice's den and taking a proud position by the Camp entrance, she watched as her father approached her. "Good morning, father." She replied with a proud tone, but there was still some bit of sleep to her voice. Yet, that all disappeared right after Rockfall's next comment. "No, I didn't." A purely proud tone, and one that suited her growing body well.

Outside of the apprentice den was Badgerpaw. He was lying in the sun, resting his head on his paws, his eyes closed with pleasure as his tail-tip flickered. However, his ears perked at the sound of his father's and sister's voices, causing him to open his eyes to see the two of the by the entrance of the camp. He raised his head, wondering what they were doing before he pushed himself to his paws. Trotting over to them, he gave them a big smile. "Hello!" he said as he came to a stop, switching his gaze between the two of them. "So...What is going on? You guys doing a patrol?"

Rockfall grinned at Stormpaw's response, he loved his kit's with all his heart. Whitefur did a great job raising them, and theres not a doubt that they will be great warriors of skyclan. Although Stormpaw did sound slightly tired though the tiredness quickly vanished and was replaced with excitement. Rockfall purred in amusement before nodding. He flicked his tail for his daughter to follow but was stopped by his son, Badgerpaw.

He blinked slightly surprised but he nodded towards Badgerpaws question. "Yes we are, want to join?" The deputy mewed towards his son, his amber eyes warm and humble. "We're going to check the one where thunderclans border is... Can never trust those mousebrains.." Rockfall mumbled remembering the report with Nightfoot and Mistyclaw.

When Badgerpaw showed up, to be honest conflicting feelings ran within Stormpaw. As much as she loved her brother to death, she was a little annoyed that he wanted to go along... And that her father was letting him. Getting ready to paw her father in objection, she held back. "They need to keep to their own stupid lands." She muttered in disgust, curling her fluffed tail around her paws as she waited for the small group to get moving.

"I would love too!" he said, lashing his tail as he lowered his voice to a growl. "If they dare to even have a whisker over their border, I'll show them that SkyClan and my family isn't to be messed with!" However, Badgerpaw had missed seeing how unhappy his sister was at him tagging along. He was so used to them doing everything as kits, he figured even the smallest chance of them doing a patrol together would cause her to be as happy as ever. And so, none-the-wiser, he stared at his father as he waited for the deputy to give the go-ahead for them to set off.

Rockfall gave a curt nod, happy to see his son was tagging along too. His amber gaze looked over towards Stormpaw, she didn't seem bothered about it to much, although her body language had said other things to the deputy. The broad tom padded forwards, slowing down as he haulted to whisper something gently into Stormpaw's sensitive grey ears. "I'll take you somewhere cooler in a few dawn-rises, it'll just be us two. I promise." Rockfall spoke before trotting in, flicking his tail for his kits to follow him into the territory. Each branch was tipped with green, and it pleased the deputy to see that new life was coming quickly. It had been a rather harsh leaf-bare due to all the foxes and badgers after all.

Though something was off about the scent, he could smell it.. Thunderclan. The deputys eyes narrowed, stopping rather suspiciously, his ears perked forwards as he stayed rather quiet and still. His nose gave a gentle twitch, and his suspicions were right. Thunderclan crossed the border once again, turning his amber gaze towards his kit's he spoke barely above a whisper. "Thunderclan is here. We might need to fight them of." The deputy warned the two, hoping that they were prepared for a fight.
